Counselling, Therapy, Expressive Arts Therapy

Lysa Toye
Many of us face challenges to our wellness, resilience and sense of balance. During difficult times, we may choose to seek professional support to assist in finding our way through. I believe that all people have innate strengths, gifts and creativity, and can benefit from an empathic, curious, and safe therapeutic relationship through which to explore the material of their life. My practice offers counselling, psychotherapy, expressive arts therapy services as well as EMDR (Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) therapy. I am passionate about supporting adults, youth, children and families living through adversity, grief and trauma to grow and give voice to their experiences through mindful, whole-body awareness, creativity, art-making and the natural world.

I also offer supervision and clinical consultation, have authored several book chapters and have contributed on the subject of grief to web and print media. I offer teaching and workshops on grief and loss, its intersection with trauma, and on mindfulness, compassion and self-care.
