_ Having worked on the executive of OEATA for the past three years, I am forming an East End Peer Supervision group for anyone interested. I have worked with Fran Harwood, Melanie Nesbitt and Dr.Dinah Power in supervision. I have taken the inaugural EAT Supervision Training offered by Melanie. I encourage board work for anyone interested. My participation helps me become a mindful EAT and also helps with the professional requirements that are coming, for instance ‘Contribution to the profession’.
In the past two years I have presented arts-based research at two health care conferences (Ryerson Health Equity Conference and the Daphne Cockwell School of Nursing Annual Research Day. The topic of research presented was “Bridging isolation through co-creational cluture”, graphic research case studies that came out of work with people living in complex chronic care, and people living with mental health challenges.
For four years I have guest lectured on the topic of “The new creative research methods” at George Brown College (Psychology & Arts) and to the under-graduate and graduate level Research Methods classes at Ryerson University (Department of Radio and Television Arts).
