Ayana Spivak
Registered Psychotherapist, Clinical Supervisor


Ayana has been supervising EXAT and DMT students who work in a variety of settings and with different populations, both in organizations and at independent practice. Often their practice would be with women, children, youth and seniors, people facing adverse life situations, transitions or trauma.

Credentials:  Credentials:  RP, MA,  EXAT, DMT

Additional Training:
  • Master degree in Psychology, Expressive Arts Therapy diploma, Dance Movement Therapy diploma, Somatic approach to working with trauma certificate, CBT certificate, certificate of continued education in Clinical Supervision.
  • Certificate of continued education “Supervision for psychotherapists” - 85 hours online course at ‘N.P.  Bechtereva Center for Education’ (St. Petersburg, Russia),  October-November  2021

Ayana is an EXAT with a background in Dance and Movement. She has her private practice in Richmond Hill, ON, providing individual psychotherapy for children and adults. Ayana is a group facilitator with over 15 years of experience in working in many settings with a variety of populations such as: refugees, seniors, children and adults with Mental Health challenges and complex disabilities, and individuals with ambulatory disabilities. She possesses MA in Psychology (Moscow State University of Psychology and Education, Russia), diplomas in Expressive Arts Therapy (The CREATE Institute, Toronto), and Dance/Movement Psychotherapy (Institute of Psychoanalysis and Practical Psychology, Moscow, Russia). As certified supervisor Ayana is supporting EXAT and Dance Therapy students and graduates.

Population served:  

Individually:
  • Children with anxiety, ADD, ADHD, ODD and various emotional and social disturbances.
  •  Adults suffering from anxiety, depression, vital fatigue, or burnout; living with trauma; dealing with a loss or a transition in life; experiencing a complex relationship or being a recent immigrant adjusting to life in new country. Arts Practice: Dance, Authentic Movement, Visual Art
