Protection from COVID-19 and other respiratory illnesses:
As part of our commitment to keep everyone safe, we will continue to follow these safety precautions:
- Face masks: CREATE’s mask requirement was lifted as of March 2023, subject to any changes in public health guidance. Some members of our community may choose to continue to wear a mask. We ask everyone to respect each other’s decisions, comfort levels and health needs.
- Self-assessment: Before entering our studio, please take a moment to complete a brief questionnaire posted at the entrance. If you're feeling unwell or experiencing any symptoms, we kindly request that you refrain from attending class.
- If you tested positive for Covid, please do not come to class and notify your instructor and administrator. Please ensure you've received a negative test result 24 hours before returning to class. Rapid antigen test kits are available at your nearest drugstore.
- Local Health Guidelines: It's crucial to adhere to the recommendations and restrictions provided by your local public health authority. You can find more information from:
https://www.ontario.ca/page/protection-covid-19-and-other-respiratory-illnesses
- Studio Amenities: Our CREATE studio is equipped with high-efficiency air purifier, extra masks, hand sanitizers, and surface sanitizing solutions for high-touch areas. After each class, we kindly ask that every student takes responsibility for sanitizing the seats and any classroom materials they used that day. Our microwave, refrigerator, kettle, and kitchen utensils are available for your use, but please be sure to disinfect or wash these items after use. Any food or containers left in the fridge will be disposed of the following day.
- Stay up-to-date with vaccinations- As a primary health and safety measure, CREATE encourages all community members to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including the booster shot(s) as recommended by public health. While proof of COVID-19 vaccination is no longer required, community members are encouraged to keep their vaccination status up to date.
We understand that the course of this pandemic has been unpredictable, and new variants may arise. CREATE will continue to monitor relevant COVID-19 statistics closely. If local public health experts indicate a heightened risk to our community's health and safety, we may need to reimplement previous protocols and safeguards. Any changes in this regard will be communicated promptly to our students, faculty, and staff.
Thank you for your cooperation and for helping keep everyone in our community safe.
