CREATE’s policy, approved by the CRPO as meeting the criteria for 'substantial completion' is based on the completion of 90% of the program:
CRPO INFORMATION SESSION

Yr. 3 and Maintaining Students applying for RPQ status undergo the same calculation and verification process.  This approach is informed by the success rates of previous RPQ applicants, ensuring our students are well-equipped with both the theoretical knowledge and practical experience needed.  By maintaining this policy, we aim to support the success of our students’ applications and consistency across our processes.
We would like to clarify that the RPQ status requirements listed on the CRPO website reflect criteria from various educational institutions, each of which may define 'substantial completion' differently.  To help prevent misunderstandings, we have contacted the CRPO and requested that they update their website to better distinguish between these institution-specific criteria. The CRPO acknowledged that the current wording could lead students to assume the three listed options are interchangeable. We have also asked that they remind students to consult their respective school administrations for institution-specific requirements.

CREATE’s 'substantial completion’ calculation - (Required hours to graduate x .90 = hours you need to apply for RPQ) - is based on completing 90% of coursework and required hours in each of the following categories: Core seminars, Intensive courses, Practicum, Studio, and therapy, as outlined below.  Please note that the value of course assignments vary based on each of the course's learning competencies.  If there are any outstanding assignments, they will be evaluated and deducted from the completed course hours.

First step of the process, to ensure your file is up to date with the following support documents:

- Evaluation forms
- Completion of Assignments
- Year-end reports
- Practicum - log sheets, practicum contracts and supervisor attestation for hours completed
- Therapy log sheet, with receipts or letter from therapist as proof
