CRPO - RP (Qualifying) changes effective January 2027
Please note that the following new requirements will only affect students applying for RP (Q) status on or after January 01, 2027.
This will include current Year 1, Year 2, and Year 3 students who moved to maintaining status and are applying for RP-Q after December 31st, 2026.
Note: It is important to recognize that CREATE has distinct criteria for graduation in many places these align with the CRPO-RP(Q) process, and in others they align with the Ministry of Colleges & Universities.

Effective January 1, 2027, the minimum requirements for substantial completion of education and training for applying for registration with CRPO are the following:
Students will have to meet these requirements at the time they submit their application to CRPO. A letter from the education program confirming the student is expected to graduate within three months will be required.
Given the implications to programs, practicum sites, and students, the change does not come into effect until January 1, 2027. Applicants can apply under the current definition as outlined on the Requirements for Applying to CRPO page until December 31, 2026.

- 100% of coursework completed
- Graduation is within three months of applying to CRPO
- Minimum 125 direct client contact hours and 30 clinical supervision hours successfully completed
