4. STUDENT ACADEMIC POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
The CREATE Institute trains within a resource-oriented adult learning model. This means that we value diversity, that the process is inclusive and that each of us has a story to tell. This adult learning model is designed to help all of us develop our own creative potential. As students, this requires a certain amount of self direction, and ability to identify your own needs, and a willingness to ask for help when needed.

4 b) Lectures, Required and recommended Readings and Intensive Courses
- Each course outline has a list of required and recommended readings these are included to support learning and supplement research topics. The hours required for readings remain at the individual discretion of the student. Many students also “read around” their topics of preference and as such the amount of reading may increase.
- Intensive Courses form a crucial part of the program, offering in-depth training with specialty topics via adjunct faculty. Attendance is mandatory for all students.
- Throughout the year, The CREATE Institute organizes public lectures and demonstrations. Attendance of lectures or demonstrations related to their weekend intensive courses is mandatory for students.
- It is advised to regularly check the school calendar for any updates or changes to the schedule as these may change throughout the year.
