4 j)   TA- Class Teachers Assistants Roles and Responsibilities

Teaching Assistants are volunteers with the responsibility to assist the Faculty where necessary.

Yr. 2 and Yr. 3 students have the option to volunteer as assistants for intensive courses, providing them with an opportunity to observe experienced instructors in action and offer support by assisting with workshop materials, setup and cleanup. Faculty presence during the intensive courses may vary.

Preference is given to Yr. 3 students and those who have not previously been an assistant in an Intensive course.  Yr. 3 students get the first choice, and once they have made their selection, Yr. 2 students can choose from the remaining intensives. Some instructors may accept multiple Teaching Assistants.

The hours worked as a teaching assistant can count toward the practicum (arts-based hours) requirements for graduation.
