What is Expressive Arts Therapy?
Expressive arts therapy (EXAT) is a way of using the arts to help people with a variety of challenges; whether they be psychological, emotional, behavioural, or associated with life traumas, relationships or transitions. EXA assumes that everyone has the capacity to respond creatively to the situations that they find themselves in.
3-Yr Expressive Arts Therapy Training Program
This is an ongoing application process, in which we interview applicants on a first-come-first-served basis, from February to the summer, until we have filled the first year class with suitable candidates.
The program is designed to immerse students in an intensive, arts-based educational process that is beneficial for their professional development as expressive arts therapists, as well as for their personal and creative growth. COVID-19 The Create Institute continues to move forward and to adapt in this difficult time.
