Carla Vinczeffy-Rose Expressive Arts Psychotherapist
My gentle approach to therapy is relational, and involves sensitivity and attuning to each individual's unique needs. I work from a trauma- and attachment-informed lens that is embodied, strengths-based and anti-oppressive.
For the past eleven years I have been supporting Indigenous children and youth and their families through expressive arts therapy and talk psychotherapy, both in person and virtually. Through this work I have been given great insight into the complex challenges experienced by Indigenous children and youth and their families as a direct result of colonialism, the residential school system, Sixties Scoop, and systemic racism.
I have experience supporting clients in the following areas: trauma (including complex and developmental trauma), grief and loss, anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, self-harm, anger, self-esteem, gender and sexuality, and abuse.
Services are available virtually and in-person.

Arts practice:Creativity and art-making are weaved through my every day life, and I encourage everyone I work with to find ways to be creative in their own lives. My approach is flexible and adapts to each individual's imaginative interests and needs. The modalities where my focus tends to lead are visual arts, music and creative writing.
