We acknowledge this land on which we gather in our CREATE community to learn & teach, Tkaronto: the place in the water where the trees are standing.   Acknowledging relationships to space and place is an ancient and traditional Indigenous practice for people travelling or visiting; that they acknowledge where they were and where they came from.  We are guests on this space; for Indigenous peoples, when the land is healthy, the people will be healthy.  Respecting, honouring, sustaining and staying in relationship with this land is our shared obligation.
